A Short Bio
I come from an artistic family going back many generations. I am a 3rd generation commercial artist but nowadays we are referred to as a graphic artist.
I studied Graphic Design Technology and Multimedia Design at Daytona Beach Community College. I work on a MAC 0SX platform using Adobe CS5 software (master collection). I offer Print and Web design.
On my page "Other Stuff", I will display some of my other fun talents such as drawings, mosaics, jewelry making and more... just for fun!
FYI:
Photo Resolution
For print design, 300dpi is needed. For web design, 72dpi is needed. (dpi= dots per inch)
Many times a client will email a photo pulled off their website (72dpi). It will not work for print design. It needs to be 300dpi.
There are, however, some very high resolution pics that can come off the web but you have to make sure about the copyrights of the pic.
Proofing
When a client receives a proof, they need to read the copy and help proof for errors in the copy and spelling. A lot of energy, time and focus goes into a design piece. Proofing several times by the designer and client is a must!
Miscommunication
Always put in writing what you want done. If it is a verbal communication, it needs to be backed up in writing.
